This Christmas we gifted our boys a cruise. Instead of buying useless toys or things they just throw in the corner after two weeks, I thought it would be a cool idea to give them an experience instead. This was the best decision I made. We absolutely LOVED every minute of being away from home over the Christmas holiday. We ported out of Ft. Lauderdale on December 23 and came back on December 30th. We actually spent Christmas Day on Royal Caribbean's private island, Labadee, Haiti. We sailed on the Odyssey of the Seas. It had so much to do and great entertainment for adults and children. My boys who are ages 11 and 13 spent most of their time in the SeaPlex. It had continuous activities such as basketball, soccer, laser tag, bumper cars, archery, arcade games, etc. They also were able to experience the SkyPad trampolines and the rock climbing wall. We were however unable to reserve the skydiving or the surf simulator. My boys also enjoyed every bit of the unlimited food they could consume for an entire week, haha. I definitely got my money's worth there! :) As far as my husband and I , we enjoyed our dinners in the dining room with the family and then the entertainment shows they provided almost nightly. They were pretty awesome. When the boys would go play in the SeaPlex, we'd enjoy music or trivia or dancing at Schooner's Bar, or the Irish Pub or Bolaro's or even ordered a drink at the robotic bar. After all the entertainment and playing we'd meet back late night for what my boys says was the most amazing pizza at the pizza place. This ship had so much to offer that we did not get bored! Best Christmas EVER!
