Very Merry Christmas Cruise Disney Cruise Line

We love to cruise, that is an understatement really! My husband and I have cruised separately and together and we both agree our favorite experience has been with DCL. Our first DCL cruise was from our home port in San Diego. It was nice driving to the port and getting on board. My son was 4 at the time and was full of wonder, which was also the ship we were on. Loved the intimate size of the ship while still having lots and lots of things for us all to do! We cruised to the Mexican Riviera. This particular itinerary had two stops in Cabo San Lucas, which was fine with me. We spend a day doing a DCL tour to a hotel on the beach where we had lunch, used the hotels lovely amenities and enjoyed the beautiful beach. We also stopped at Puerto Vallarta for another beach day. You cannot get enough beach days in Mexico.

Onboard we enjoyed wonderful entertainment, lots of delicious and unique dining experiences plus on deck options like pizza, sandwiches and fruit. We even were able to see just released Disney films. And the kids play area was incredible. My husband and I had reservations at Palo and it was so nice to have some quiet time together on the ship. There are several adult only areas to enjoy some peace and quiet.

The staff was incredible and we loved everything about it!

Our next DCL cruise sailed from Port Canaveral Florida to the Bahamas. Castaway Key was lots of fun. We did the bikes around the island and enjoyed time on the beach (are you sensing a theme?). There are adult only areas on CC too, but we decided to hang as a family. Maybe next time we will do that.

In 2019 we chose aDCL cruise we went big for our birthdays. We from Southampton, England to the British Isles. Our stops in Ireland and Scotland were incredible. Plus we got to explore Wales and London for the week!  We went to go see Warner Bros. Studios for the Making of Harry Potter tour and also to Highclere Castle for the Downton Abby tour. These two tours were booked separately from DCL and were before our cruise.

In late 2021 we sailed with DCL again. This time from Galveston TX to Mexico onboard a Very Merrytime Sailing. It was so festive and a wonderful way to celebrate the season. I would definitely sail this themed cruise again. I look forward to sailing on the Halloween on the High Seas soon!

This year we are heading to Switzerland for a Rhine River Cruise with Adventures by Disney and AmaWaterways! I will be posting photos upon my return.
